Schuylkill County Court
The following sentences were handed down recently in Schuylkill County Court:
• James Ulrich, 56, of Tamaqua, was sentenced by Judge Christopher W. Hobbs to up to 12 months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of harassment made by Tamaqua police.
Ulrich must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
• Colton Troup, 26, of Ashland, was sentenced by Hobbs to 1-7 years in state prison on a charge of driving under the influence made by state police at Schuylkill Haven.
Troup must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $1,092.77 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
He must also enroll in and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School and Outpatient Substance Abuse treatment, and 30 hours of community service.
• William Murphy, 56, of Pottsville, was sentenced by Hobbs to 1-2 years in state prison on a charge of contraband leveled by Pottsville police.
He must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
Murphy was also sentenced by Hobbs to 2-12 months in state prison on a charge of false reports made by Pottsville police.
He must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
• Trola Moore, 45, of Port Carbon, was sentenced by Hobbs to 60 days to 18 months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of fleeing or eluding police made by Saint Clair police.
Moore must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee. Moore must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
• George Daniel Brill, 62, of Mahanoy City, was sentenced by Judge William L.J. Burke to 22 months to 5 years in state prison on a charge of attempted statutory sexual assault leveled by Mahanoy City police.
Brill was also registered as a Tier III sex offender for life and must pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $300 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
As a result to pleading guilty to a charge of corruption of minors, he will be assessed to determine if he should be classified as a sexually violent predator.
Brill was also sentenced to 9 months to 5 years consecutively on the corruption of minors charge.
• Jason Mendez-Garcia, 21, of Tamaqua, was sentenced by Hobbs to 60 days to 6 months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of driving under the influence made by state police at Frackville.
He must also pay a fine of $1,000, restitution of $276 to the district attorney’s office, and must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $525 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
• Nikki Gaumer, 30, of Mahanoy City, was sentenced by Hobbs to 1 year minus 1 day to 2 years minus 1 day in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of endangering the welfare leveled by state police at Frackville.
On two more counts of endangering welfare, Gaumer was sentenced to 2 years of probation on each count.
The defendant must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $513.
• Kole Kreiser, 41, of Pine Grove, was sentenced by Judge Christina E. Hale to 1-2 years in state prison on a charge of burglary made by state police at Schuylkill Haven.
Kreiser was also sentenced to 3-12 months concurrently on a charge of theft of secondary metal.
He must also pay $298.45 to Meridan Precision Inc., plus the cost of prosecution, another $400 and a $65 monthly supervision fee.
Kreiser was also sentenced by Hale to 3-24 months on a charge of criminal trespass made by state police at Schuylkill Haven.
He must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $1,193, plus $400 to the Brookside Gun Club.
