The borough of Tamaqua announced that the H.D. Buehler Memorial Pool will be open for swimming at 11 a.m. May 31.
Applications for season passes to the pool are available the Tamaqua Municipal Building, Tamaqua Post Office, Tamaqua Public Library, Boyer’s Food Market, Fegley’s Mini-Mart and Our Family Mini-Mart. Forms are also available on the borough website at tamaquaborough.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TamaquaBorough/
Applications, along with payment and proof of residency, must be returned or mailed to the municipal building, 320 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA 18252. Make checks and money orders payable to “Borough of Tamaqua.” Eligible proof of residency includes a copy of driver’s license or photo identification.
Season pool passes for residents of the Tamaqua Area School District are $15 per person. The discounted rates are made possible through a donation from the John E. Morgan Foundation. Season pool passes for people who live outside the district are $100 per person. Season pass holders can also apply for temporary guest passes for visitors staying with them. The passes are $20 per person per week for no more than two weeks.
Daily passes for Tamaqua Area School District residents are $5 on weekdays and $6 on Saturdays and Sundays. Daily passes for children under 6 years old are $1 per day.
Daily passes for people who live outside the district are $15 on weekdays and $20 on Saturdays and Sundays. Daily passes for children under 6 years old are $1 per day.
