The Rev. Frederick A. Winkler, principal of Marian Catholic High School, will observe the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood at a Mass of Thanksgiving to be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nesquehoning.
Father Winkler was ordained on May 30, 1942, in SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Philadelphia, by Cardinal Dennis Dougherty.
He became Marian’s third principal and under his guidance the school has grown each year in enrollment, with over 700 pupils at its Rush Township location.
In addition to his principal’s duties, Father Winkler is also the diocesan director of the Bishop’s Relief Fund Drive.
