Turnpike crashes
State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Three vehicles were towed from the scene of a crash at 10:53 a.m. March 25 at mile marker 82.9 in Penn Forest Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the crash occurred when the left rear wheel of a 2019 Ford F-150 driven by Renee L. Williams, 54, of Drums, disengaged from its axle, hit the hood of a 2012 Infiniti, bounced over the center barrier and struck a 2022 Toyota Sienna, and then bounced back over the barrier and struck a 2022 Kia.
The Kia, police said, was the only vehicle not towed from the scene.
Williams was cited after the incident, according to police.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:09 p.m. March 21 at mile marker 89.3 in Kidder Township.
Police said the crash occurred when Alisher H. Mansurov, 52, of Philadelphia, driving a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, hit the back of a 2022 Ford Escape operated by Julissa Pena, 55, of Allentown, in work zone.
Mansurov was cited after the crash, according to police.
• A motorcycle and pickup collided at 5:20 p.m. March 17 at mile marker 81.2 in Penn Forest Township. No injuries were reported.
Police said the crash occurred as Anthony J. Del Cid Garcia, 18, of Harleysville, was riding a 2007 Yamaha southbound when he lost control of the motorcycle. It struck the concrete barrier on the left side of the road and then hit a 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Brian M. Buchholtz, 49, of Pottstown.
The motorcycle was removed from the scene.
Del Cid Garcia was cited after the crash, according to police.
• No one was injured in a crash at 11:47 a.m. Feb. 23 at mile marker 80.5 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Joseph M. Dubois, 36, of Dover, New Jersey, was operating a 2022 Cadillac northbound when it struck a 2-by-4 piece of wood that was in the roadway.
The vehicle, which had damage to its undercarriage and was leaking coolant, was towed from the scene, police said.
