Tamaqua makes community day plans

Tamaqua Community Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 31 at the Owl Creek Reservoir, and will bring the community together for a fun-filled day of events, entertainment and outdoor activities.

The event will feature family-friendly fun for all ages and interests including a 5K Fun Run, guided bike tours with D’NA Bikes, a corn hole tournament with prizes hosted by Coal Cracker Cornhole, kids crafts and activities, Tom Banditelli Memorial Fishing Derby kickoff, live music, food trucks, a Magic 105.5 live broadcast and more. So whether a fitness enthusiast, an outdoor adventurer, or simply looking to enjoy some good food and live music, there’s something for everyone.

The event will highlight Owl Creek Reservoir, encouraging visitors to explore and appreciate this stunning location.

“This event is all about bringing the community together and celebrating what makes Tamaqua special,” said Aimee Dotson, executive director of the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce. “We hope that this becomes an annual tradition that grows bigger and better each year. We want everyone to come out, have fun, and take in the beauty of Owl Creek Reservoir, while also enjoying a variety of activities with family and friends.”
