State police at the Fern Ridge barracks and Weatherly Borough police were summoned to a terroristic threats report on March 25 involving law enforcement.

Borough police said they were alerted to a threat of violence directed towards the local district court and law enforcement, which resulted in authorities providing added security around the area during the investigation.

Police said investigators, working with state police and the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office, were able to identify the suspect, whose name is being withheld until criminal charges are filed by state police.
