Colistra takes over Tiger girls lax team

While the Northwestern Lehigh girls lacrosse program may be in just its fifth season as a varsity sport, new head coach Pam Colistra has the feel of a coach who may have a long run with Northwestern Lehigh.

She took over the program during the offseason and enters her first season as head coach this spring.

After attending high school in Maryland and going to Limestone College in South Carolina, Colistra and her family have relocated to the Northwestern Lehigh district recently after what sounds like a pretty exhaustive search of places to live. The family loves the atmosphere around the district and Colistra, who played for an NCAA title at Limestone, is looking forward to her Northwestern Lehigh debut.

“We found the type of place that we wanted to relocate to and over the last year, we have been impressed with the community and the schools, and I want to be a part of that,” said Colistra, who replaces Jess Bahnick as head coach. “I plan on being here for a long time. The girls have been great to work with and I have a great staff and all of the parents have been understanding.”
