Carbon Career and Technical Institute graduation is scheduled for 5 p.m. on June 3 at the CCTI Field.

The Joint Operating Committee approved the authorization for the principal to name the CCTI 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian based on their class ranking through March 24.

Other events approved by the Joint Operating Committee:

• Next year’s junior/senior prom will be on May 8, 2026 at Blue Mountain Resort at an estimated cost of $5,470.

• Annual Summer Career Academy will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 16 to 20 for students in grades 5 through 8 from the participating school districts.

• Summer Math Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on June 16 to 19, and June 23 to 26. The Math Camp is for incoming CCTI students in grades 9 through 12.

Enrollment of 18 to 20 students per week must be secured to include both approved instructors. Fewer students will result in the need for only one instructor and/or the cancellation of the camp.

• Diane Hyjurick and Kevin Sowa were approved at the JOC meeting to serve as the CCTI Summer Math Camp instructors. They also will be used as needed for instructional preparation before and/or during summer math camp.

Diane Hyjurick, Kevin Sowa and Salvatore LoPresti also were approved to be van drivers at a rate of $25 per hour for the math camp.
