Tamaqua seventh grade student Aubrey Kokinda has enjoyed another stellar wrestling season. Kokinda won the 73-pound title at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Tournament in March 1-2. Throughout the tournament, she had three pins all totalling one minute and 30 seconds of wrestling while not surrendering any points to her opponents. She followed that performance by winning Keystone State Championships 12U 75-pound title in State College March 14-15. Throughout the tournament, she had three pins in one minute 36 seconds leading up to a 4-0 decision in her finals match. She again surrendered no points to her opponents. Kokinda did not give up any points between both the state tournaments and the qualifier. She is now a four-time state champion, seven-time state finalist and an Eastern Nationals champion.
