Schuylkill County Court
The following sentences were handed down recently in Schuylkill County Court:
• Stephanie Keck, 46, of Nesquehoning, faces a total jail term of 5-10 years in a state correctional institution in three different cases in Schuylkill County Court.
President Judge Jacqueline Russell sentenced Keck to 2-4 years on a charge of disruption of service leveled by state police at Frackville on Dec. 16, 2023.
Keck was also sentenced to 2-4 years concurrently on a charge of criminal conspiracy, and 2-4 years concurrently on a charge of theft by unlawful taking.
She was also sentenced by Russell to 2-4 years on another charge of disruption of service made by Schuylkill Township police on Dec. 5, 2023.
Keck was also sentenced to 2-4 years concurrently on a charge of criminal conspiracy and 2-4 years concurrently on a charge of theft by unlawful taking.
In the third case, she was sentenced by Russell to 1-2 years on a charge of theft by unlawful taking made by West Penn Township police on Dec. 10, 2023.
Keck was also sentenced to 1-2 years concurrently on a charge of criminal conspiracy and 1-2 years concurrently on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• Samuel L. Frey, 44, of New Ringgold, was sentenced by Senior Judge C. Palmer Dolbin to up to six months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of driving under the influence-drugs made by state police at Schuylkill Haven on Nov. 24, 2023.
Frey must also pay the costs of prosecution, a fine of $1,088, and another $350. He was placed on immediate parole since he had served the minimum time.
He must also enroll in and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and Outpatient Substance Abuse treatment. His driver’s license is also suspended for 12 months.
• Dominic Nansteel, 20, of Tamaqua, was sentenced by Judge William L.J. Burke to up to 23 months in Schuylkill County Prison for an incident on Jan. 4, 2024.
Nansteel was sentenced to up to 12 months on a charge of simple assault, and another 4-11 months on another charge of simple assault, and two years’ probation on a charge of recklessly endangering another person, all leveled by Tamaqua police.
Nansteel will also have to pay the costs of prosecution, and another $400.
• Daniel Sparber, 51, of the Bronx, New York, was sentenced by Judge Christina Hale to 23½ months in Schuylkill County Prison for an incident on Aug. 7, 2024.
Sparber was sentenced to 6-12 months on a charge of forgery leveled by state police at Frackville. He was also sentenced to 3-11½ months on a charge of identity theft.
He was also sentenced to 2-12 months concurrently on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Sparber must also pay the cost of prosecution, plus another $576.
• Cody Gloster, 29, of Sinking Spring, Berks County, was sentenced by Judge William L.J. Burke to up to 12 months on a charge of criminal mischief made by Tamaqua police for an incident on May 24, 2023.
Since he is credited with time served since Jan. 2, 2024, he was granted immediate parole.
He will also have to pay the costs of prosecution, and another $150.
• Shawn Tobin, 38, of Middleport, was sentenced by Judge Christopher W. Hobbs to 2-12 months in Schuylkill County Prison on a charge of evading arrest leveled by Pottsville police.
He will also have to pay the costs of prosecution, and another $600.
