Bunny visits

• Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club Bunny Lunch, April 12 at Lehighton Boys & Girls Band Hall, 197 N. Sixth St., Lehighton. Seatings at 10 a.m. and noon. Includes lunch, visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny and a filled Easter Basket. For tickets: 570-657-7453

• Hometown Fire Company will host a children’s event full of egg-citing things to do beginning at 9:30 a.m. April 12.

Sponsored by Mauch Chunk Trust, it will includes breakfast of French toast sticks, tator tots and a drink followed by rock painting with Tracey from Sycamore Kula. Children will have the chance to paint six small rocks and one large rock. An Easter egg hunt will follow in the truck room, and the Easter Bunny meet with children for photos.

There is a fee. Seating is limited. To reserve a seat, call or text 570-449-1776.

• The Carbon County Friends of Animals will have a fun-filled day of Easter Bunny photos from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 5 at Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe. ⏰

Goody bags for kids and pets, and child- and pet-friendly photos with the Easter Bunny. By appointment or walk-in. Contact Pam Poeldnurk at 570-413-4543 for more details or to schedule your appointment.

• The West End Memorial American Legion Post 927, Gilbert, is hosting a breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April 5, with a rain date of April 12, from 10 a.m.-noon. It includes a free egg hunt and free photos with the Easter Bunny with the purchase of tickets for the event for children ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are free.

The breakfast is an all-you-can eat and will feature pancakes, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, juice and coffee.

The egg hunt begins at 1 p.m.

Egg hunts

• The East Penn Township Ashfield Playground Recreation Board will holds its Community Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. April 13 at the Ashfield Playground, 390 Blue Mountain Road, Lehighton.

There will be multiple age groups (1-12), many prizes, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Remember to bring your own basket.

• The St. Matthew’s ECC Community Easter Egg Hunt will be April 19 at 1 p.m. at the church grove, 124 Picnic Lane, Kunkletown. Children ages baby through 12 will hunt with their age groups. There will also be snacks, a craft, games and visit with the Easter Bunny. Please bring your own basket. This is a free event for the community. • Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, is hosting a free community Easter Egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday for youngsters up to grade 5.’

• A Sensory Sensitive Easter Egg Hunt has been designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities with the aim to provide a fun and manageable environment while providing the thrill of an Easter egg hunt.

The event will be held rain or shine in the Chestnuthill Township Park Building, and will run from 9 a.m.-noon. Participants will be scheduled at a designated time slot to help manage group sizes. Advanced registration is required for this event. Contact Steve Baade (sbaade@chestnuthilltwp-pa.gov or 570-992-7247) to register.

• The Chestnuthill Township 2025 Easter Egg Hunt is designed for children ages 0-10, and children will be grouped in the field according to their age. This event will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12. This event will be weather dependent, with a rain date of Sunday April 13. See Facebook for changes.

• Cornerstone Community Church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kunkletown, Easter egg hunts, story walk, free food, prizes at 2 p.m. April 12.

• Becky’s Drive-In, 4548 Lehigh Drive, Walnutport, April 12. Pay at the ticket booth the day of the egg hunt. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the egg hunt begins at 6 p.m.

The egg hunt is included in the double features and is only open to our paying customers. Remember to bring your Easter basket along to use for the egg hunt.

If you only want to attend the egg hunt, you must pay admission, but you will receive one admission pass in return, which you can use once during the 2025 season. Also featured: the Easter Bunny, pony rides, balloon sculptor.

Rain date for the Easter egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 19.

• Palmerton Memorial Park Association, 1255 Third St., Palmerton, invites the Palmerton community to the egg hunt, at 11 a.m. April 19. Egg hunts for various age groups from 0-12 years of age. Parking is available in the main pool parking lot and you can walk down to the park area.

Palmerton Pool passes will be sale for the 2025 season. No rain date.

Flowers

• Albrightsville Fire Company will be selling Easter Flowers on April 18 from 9 a.m. until sold out at Pine Point Plaza on Route 903 in Albrightsville. Flowers are hyacinths, tulips, lilies and mums. Call 570-688-3806 or email avfc@ptd.net.

Special events

• Adult Nighttime Easter egg hunt, 8 p.m. April 12 at Lehighton Outdoor Center, 123 Lehigh Drive, Lehighton. Have a fun night out with adult family and friends, plus win adult prizes. All proceeds will go back into revitalization projects within Lehighton. For ages 21 and older. Purchase tickets in advance. 610-509-6465
