Turnpike incidents

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Police are investigating a case of fraudulent annual inspection and emission stickers being found on a vehicle following a traffic stop at 1:12 p.m. March 22. They stopped a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu for speeding at mile marker 68.1 in Washington Township and determined the stickers on the car were fraudulent.

Victims of the incident are Moyer Nissan of Lebanon and Kreiser’s Garage, Manheim.

Police did not say if the driver was cited.

• A 28-year-old man from Philadelphia is facing charges after police made a traffic stop at 4:35 p.m. March 21.

He was stopped in a 2003 Lincoln Continental because police said it had a stolen license plate. Further investigation revealed the vehicle’s inspection stickers were fictitious.

Police said victims in the incident are Persing Inc., Allentown; Reedman Auto World, Langhorne; and Bob Wark’s Liberty, Merion Station.

Police said the driver could face charges of receiving stolen property, theft and displaying fraudulent inspection stickers.
