Panther Valley School Board

Panther Valley School approved the following items this month:

• The purchase of a flail mower from AG Industrial at a cost of $7,350.

• A contract with US Stone and Stucco LLC in the amount of $98,500 to paint the stadium canopy support poles. This will be paid for through the Capital Projects Fund, under a COSTARs contract.

• The purchase of a Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 with attachments for plowing at a cost of $33,299.35. This is a budgeted expense and the purchase is under a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract.

• The purchase of a 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD at a total cost of $59,328. This will be a budgeted expense for 2025-26 and needs to be preordered to ensure availability.

• Full payment on the district’s existing loan through FNB Bank upon receiving a payoff amount within the next 30 days.

• An intergovernmental agreement for special education services between Panther Valley and Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 for 2025-26.

• The date of graduation as May 30 at the Panther Valley Stadium.

• The first reading and revision of policy No. 225, Access to Education, Student Privacy and Immigration, and second reading and revision of policy No. 201, Admission of Students.

• A resolution supporting the Pennsylvania Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial (America250PA).

• A memorandum of understanding with the Panther Valley Education Association and the Panther Valley School District.

• A change in its April meeting date, shifting the day to one week later from April 16 to April 23.
