ACS basket raffle set this weekend
The Cancer Telethon.Org’s Auction/Basket Raffle will be held on Sunday at the Tamaqua Area High School gymnasium, where you will find hundreds of prizes lining tables.
The event features high-value “white ticket” items and additional high-value “red ticket” items, with chances offered at a low price.
Seating will be available in the gymnasium, or the organization will contact you by text or phone to pick your winnings up after the auction or within the following days at the Telethon Office in Lansford.
On Saturday, people are invited to stop by the Shop and Drop from 5-7 p.m. Get a preview of the items or drop your tickets to avoid the Sunday crowd.
On Sunday, doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the drawings begin at 2:30 p.m.
Top prizes on the specially purchased “white ticket” include $1,000 cash, Dell Inspiron laptop, fuel oil, Yamaha generator, lottery and concert tickets, gift certificates, 50-inch Roku television, a pizza /month for a year, wine tasting package, overnight stays, Schwinn bicycle, picnic bench, massage and facial, lawn mower, electric scooter, tickets to Sight & Sound Theatres and much more.
The red table offers a large variety of high-value items that also will appeal to everyone.
Non-cash payments will be accepted via an online payment application accessible via a QR code. As always, cash is accepted and preferred.
A delicious selection of food will be sold to enjoy inside or for takeout.
Polka Joe with WMGH will be live, celebrating 51 years of polka time, and playing everyone’s favorite toe-tapping songs as you browse the large variety of items. He may even play a special song for you.
