Tamaqua Girl Scouts visit cat shelter

Girl Scout Troop 33013 from Tamaqua spent the day at the Carbon County Friends of Animals Facility on 13th Street, Jim Thorpe on Sunday. The scouts helped in caring for the cats and kittens, doing laundry and cleaning the rooms where the cages are located. The scouts also brought a large collection of donated items for the cats such as cleaning supplies, food, treats, and more. Troop Leader Meranda Hess accompanied them.
