March 24, 1987 — Kim Pierce pitches a six-hitter and receives support from her offense as Northwestern gains a 7-1 victory over Saucon Valley. The Tigers, who turn a triple play during the contest, take the lead the for good in the bottom of the first inning after the Panthers score in the top half. Denise Davidheiser singles home Robbin Shreve to tie the game and then scores on a sacrifice fly by Chrissy Walko. The winners add two more runs in the third on Walko’s two-run single. Julie Davidson triples and scores on an error in the fifth. Davidheiser finishes with a pair of hits and three run scored.
