Foxy’s Cradle hosted a kitten shower from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Friedens Fire Company, 3158 Friedens Road, Slatington. Lori Merkle has been doing the educational part of Foxy’s Cradle Events for four years. With Merkle, are Sofie Miller, 6, left, and her sister Gianna, 7, who got their award certificate for learning about how to handle all animals when finding them at friend’s house, in the wild and when welcoming them to their home. The Foxy’s Cradle event included face painting, bake sale, merchandise, Kitty Town coffee, basket raffle, 50/50 and Friedens Fire Company had their kitchen open. Attendance was standing room only.
