Freezing rain, snow in forecast tonight

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday.

Mixed precipitation is expected, including a period of freezing rain. Total snow accumulations up to one half inch and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch are expected.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Tonight: Rain, possibly mixed with snow, mainly after 3am. Low around 33. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday: Rain before noon, then a chance of showers between noon and 2pm. High near 53. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. West wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of showers after 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
