State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 58-year-old Palmerton man is facing assault charges after police were called to a domestic dispute at 11:31 p.m. March 17 on Forest Inn Road, Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said he physically assaulted, harassed and recklessly endangered two women, ages 52 and 31, within their common residence.

• A 32-year-old man from Kunkletown is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 6:34 p.m. March 15.

He was stopped in a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Harrity Road in Polk Township.

• A 47-year-old Kunkletown woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 1:51 a.m. March 13.

She was stopped in a vehicle for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Mountain View Drive, Polk Township.

• Police were called to a theft by deception/identity theft incident at 9:43 a.m. March at a property on Chinaberry Way in Polk Township.

The incident is being investigated, according to police.

• A 49-year-old Parryville man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police assisted the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office in serving a warrant.

The incident occurred at 3:22 p.m. March 4 at 373 Centre St., Parryville.
