State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police charged a man for violating a Protection From Abuse court order on Feb. 27.
They said the man, identified as an ex-boyfriend of the victim, is accused of sending text messages to and calling the victim.
Police did not indicate where the offenses took place, or the name or residence of the suspect.
• Police were called to a criminal trespass incident at 1:23 p.m. Feb. 28.
The complainant told police entered the residence by breaking the back door before fleeing.
Police said it was determined that nothing was stolen, although damage to a door and several windows was found.
• Police said they are investigating a ChildLine referral they received involving a female victim from Coaldale.
It was reported to have occurred between April 25, 2024, and March 5 of this year.
Police said the referral was previously investigated by the Coaldale Police Department, which has since disbanded.
• Police are investigating a theft incident that was reported to them at 11:54 a.m. Feb. 1.
A 59-year-old woman from Coaldale reported a package containing a Blue Ridge Cable box valued at $300 was stolen from her front porch on Ridge Terrace, Coaldale.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 1:11 p.m. Feb. 7 on Water Street in New Philadelphia.
A 63-year-old New Philadelphia man reported that someone slashed the driver’s side rear tire on his 1994 Ford.
• Police were called to a reported harassment incident at 3 p.m. Feb. 21 Hughes Street in New Ringgold but said it was determined there was no criminal conduct involved and the allegation was unfounded.
It was alleged the incident involved a 15-year-old boy.
• Ethan Lapp, 20, of Coaldale, was arrested on charges of harassment by physical contact, criminal mischief and possession of a small amount of marijuana after police were called to a domestic violence incident at 3:35 p.m. Feb. 23 on Second Street in Coaldale.
The victims are an 18-year-old boy and a 47-year-old woman, both from Coaldale.
Police said damaged in the incident were two tires, Cooper and Douglas Touring models, valued at $143 and $76, respectively, and a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and a 2004 Jeep Cherokee.
