Several Carbon county fire companies responded to a brush fire today in Franklin township. The fire was reported around noon to the rear of a home along Gerald Lane. Firefighters found a controlled burn out of control. Fire officials soon requested a Lehighton paramedic unit to the scene for the homeowner who received burns in the incident.
