Tamaqua police filed harassment charges against Sophia Sabo, 18, of Tamaqua.

According to officers, a 17-year-old boy reported to police that a girl by the nickname of “Gray,” who was later identified as Sabo, began to harass him by saying that he “stinks.”

The boy said she would whisper to her friend that “something stinks” when the boy was around. The victim said this continued in his first period high school class for approximately 11 days, ending on March 7 when the victim verbally argued with Sabo.

The boy also told police that when he was at a local eatery, Sabo threw a deodorant stick at him, which hit him in the chin.

The deodorant had a note saying, “Because you stink.”
