The Coaldale Fire Company unveiled the newest edition to its equipment force on Sunday.

Company treasurer Ronald Polishchak, chairman of the new truck committee, proudly displayed the company’s 1988 Kovatch Mobile Equipment Quad Class Pumper.

The pumper is able to carry five men, prepared with self-contained breathing apparatus and has a 6,000-watt inverter to power lights and fans.

Polischak said within the next six weeks, the truck will be equipped with a cascade system to replenish air packs. Also featured on the new unit is a foam system for vehicle fires and hazardous materials.
