Jim Thorpe graduate Skyler Searfoss scored 11 points on Saturday to help the Holy Family University women’s basketball team record a 68-55 victory over Daemen to reach the NCAA Division 2 East Regional Final (Sweet 16).
Searfoss hit on two of her five field-goal attempts, and made seven of her eight free throws.
The former Olympian, who was one of four players from her team to score in double figures, also contributed two rebounds and a block as the third-seeded Tigers improved to 26-6.
Holy Family, which rallied from an early 10-point deficit, will now meet top-seeded Bentley tonight at 7 p.m. in the East Regional final.
