Saints Peter and Paul Church announces its schedule for the church located at 260 N. Third St., Lehighton:
• The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., throughout the year at 4 p.m. on Saturdays, 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays, and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday for daily Mass.
• The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available from 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays, and about 30 minutes before Masses on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer from noon to 9 p.m. every Thursday. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for personal prayer every Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Adorers are needed between 5-7 p.m. On first Fridays, adoration and confessions available from 6 to 9 p.m.
• The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process of formation for disciples of Jesus in the Catholic Church. For those interested in learning more about the Catholic Church and receiving any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation), contact the rectory.
Help available
The parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in the former convent building on 242 N. Third St. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need and seeks donations of the same.

Events
• The Knights of Columbus Damien Council #598 meets on the first Tuesday of every month in the parish hall at 7 p.m., followed by the Msgr. Agnello Angelini Assembly of the Fourth Degree Knights at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is on April 1.
• To assure the best possible surfaces for pedestrians, the parish will adopt a policy for daily Mass that works off the LASD schedule: on days when school is delayed or closed, the Rev. Zelonis will offer that weekday Mass privately.
Other scheduled activities on those days will be considered case by case. The policy is subject to change, and the parish appreciate your understanding.
• Stations of the Cross will be prayed every Wednesday evening in church at 6:30 p.m.
• A Lenten Morning of Recollection will be held Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m.-noon, led by the Rev. Michael Mullins, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Palmerton. The morning will include Eucharistic Adoration, opportunity for Confession, and fellowship. No registration necessary.
• The Lenten Fish Fry will take place on Friday, April 11, from 4-7 p.m. in the social hall on 307 Coal St. The meal includes fried haddock, french fries, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Tickets available in church after weekend Masses at the rectory by calling 610-377-3690.
• This year’s Backyard Bash will take place June 27 and June 28. In anticipation of the event, there will be a raffle to earn startup money. Tickets are available after weekend Masses.
