“I believe in putting patients in control of their health,” she says. She also believes in individualized medical care for people. “Patients are more than just medical cases.”

Services offered: Tammy Merrifield and her colleague, Frances Braconaro, MD, with LVPG Internal Medicine–Carbon, see adult patients age 18 years and older. They offer sick and well visits, screenings, immunizations, steroid injections and testing for various conditions such as the flu.

Conditions treated: As a primary care clinician, Tammy Merrifield offers care for medical conditions including but not limited to common colds and viruses to cardiac, pulmonary, gastroenterology and musculoskeletal conditions.

Why did she choose medicine as a career: “The driving force behind my entry into the medical field is an unwavering desire to help people get healthy, stay healthy and be the best version of themselves,” Tammy Merrifield says.

Witnessing the impact health care has on people’s lives inspired her to work in medicine.

“I take immense pride in being part of the health care community and having the privilege of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am here to lend a guiding hand, walking alongside my patients as they embrace their control over their health,” she says.
