Northern Lehigh’s Ivan Rosario also pulls away after a close first period for a 10-2 win at 125 against North Star’s Joe Maluchnik. Fellow Bulldog wrestler Chris Zimmerman racks up a 13-8 decision over Cory Gumby of East Pennsboro at 171. Three other area wrestlers — Northern Lehigh’s Bob Wetzel and Mike Reichard, and Jim Thorpe’s Ted Williams — lose their first matches but all win in the consolations to stay alive.
