AA reminder

McMichaels Methodist hosts an AA meeting at the church every Wednesday at noon and Saturday evening at 6:30. There is no charge for the class. All meetings are confidential.

Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, hosts an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting every Monday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Pizza sale ahead

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effort, is holding a “Take & Bake” pizza sale for 12-inch pies until April 6.

Call the church at 570-629-4309 or 610-739-6629 and leave a clear message with your order and for how many pies, and ask for cost per pie.

Leave your phone number in case there is a question. Pies will be ready to take home and bake or can be frozen.

Pickup and pay at church (cash only) at 164 Merwinsburg Road, Effort, will be between 4-5 p.m. April 11.

ID theft seminar

Rep. Jack Rader is hosting an identity theft seminar on April 10 at the Blakeslee Community Center at 5669 Route 115 in Blakeslee.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; the seminar begins at 6 p.m.

The speaker will be David Shallcross, director of Senior Protection from the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
