Tamaqua police charged Julika Corojo-Colon, of Tamaqua, with harassment and terroristic threats following a 10:14 p.m. Feb. 27 incident on the 300 block of Pine Street.
Officers said they received a noise complaint from a caller who said that she had gone through with an eviction on her tenant, Corojo-Colon. Since then, she said Corojo-Colon has been threatening her and a downstairs tenant. Police said they might not be able to do anything about the noise but could patrol the area and speak to the downstairs tenant.
Police said the downstairs tenant waved them down and told them that he had been threatened by upstairs neighbor, Corojo-Colon. He said that she hit his car when it was parked in a yard and threatened to set the house on fire. Corojo-Colon also told him that she plans to break into the owner’s home and beat her.
