State police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:

• Tony Faust Jr., 23, of Blakeslee, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:06 a.m. March 2 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Jeep Cherokee that hit a guide rail. The Jeep was towed from the scene.

• Howard I. Dorn Jr., 49, of Brodheadsville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash at 10:12 a.m. Jan. 29 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, police said. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder that exited the right lane and hit a concrete barrier as he entered a construction zone. Police said he continued south on Route 115, where he was stopped at a gas station and showed signs of impairment.

• Richard L. Morris, 58, of Belding, Michigan, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:17 p.m. Feb. 16 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Freightliner eastbound when it traveled off the right shoulder, struck an embankment and spun around, hitting the guide rail. The truck was towed from the scene.

• Robert Valencik, 29, of Blakeslee, was cited after a crash at 4:28 p.m. Feb. 10 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2011 Subaru Impreza eastbound when he attempted to turn left into a gas station and failed to yield to a westbound 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Edward S. Hovan, 52, of Gilbert, and the vehicles collided. Police said Valencik fled the scene and was identified after the owner of the vehicle was contacted.

Both vehicles had disabling damage.
