A special recognition dinner was held last night at the Mahoning Valley Ambulance Corps headquarters for area people who have served the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry in various capacities.

Plaques were presented to forest fire wardens for their dedicated years of service.

The recipients were Marshall C. Schaffer, 40 years; George Samok, 35 years; George Maeher, 20 years; Elwood Beers and Darryl Brewster, both 15 years; and David L. Kemmerer, 10 years.

Donald P. Oaks, district forester who presented the awards, said the individuals play a key role in helping the bureau to be successful in its programs.
