March 11, 1968 — Frank Snyder is hired as the Panther Valley varsity football coach at the school’s board meeting. Snyder posted undefeated records for the previous three seasons at Upper Dauphin and finished there with a mark of 33-8-2. In his 16 years as a coach, the Lenoir Rhyne College graduate has won 103 games, compared to just 40 losses. Snyder coached Gary Collins, an All-Pro with the Cleveland Browns. His assistant at Upper Dauphin, Tom Hain, is also coming to Panther Valley to coach.
