State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Becky E. Moss, 44, of Barnesville, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 6:21 a.m. Jan. 22 on Route 54 in Mahanoy Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said she was operating a 2017 Toyota RAV4 that entered the highway without clearance and hit a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven eastbound by Michael J. Wronski, 27, of Mahanoy City.

Police said the RAV4 had minor damage, while the Wrangler had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Paulsude Rejouir, 35, of Hazleton, was after a two-vehicle crash at 8:04 a.m. Feb. 10 at the intersection of Claremont Avenue (Route 309) and Tide Road in Rush Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Chevrolet that was involved in the crash with a 2023 Ford driven by Francis J. Samec, 69, of Tresckow.

• Adrian Fernandez Vargas, 31, of Hazleton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. March 5 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when it left the road and struck an embankment.

The Jeep had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:43 p.m. March 2 on Route 209 in Schuylkill Township.

Police said the crash occurred when an unknown vehicle traveling east sideswiped a 2019 Hyundai Elantra operated westbound by Rita L. Thomas, 50, of Tamaqua, and fled. The Hyundai was damaged but able to be driven from the scene.

Thomas and two passengers, Christina M. Keiner, 51, and a 3-year-old boy, both also from Tamaqua, were uninjured.
