A Schuylkill County man died in a one-vehicle crash at 8:36 p.m. Thursday on Flat Hill Road, Washington Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Kyle E. Cleary, 40, of Pine Grove, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Dodge Avenger that struck a large oak tree that was laying across both lanes of traffic, coming to rest in the westbound lane.

Police said Cleary was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
