Septic Survey

On-lot septic systems treat and dispose of wastewater in most of rural Pennsylvania. Septic system owners are typically responsible for system care and maintenance. Penn State Extension has developed a brief survey to understand owner practices across Pennsylvania.

Survey results will be used to help Extension better meet the needs of educating system owners and users in the future.

As part of this study, the Extension will select qualifying participants for a free private well or spring water testing.

If you own or use a septic system, visit https://tinyurl.com/Septic2025 to take the survey.

Blood Moon

The Blood Moon returns to our skies on the evening of March 14 and 15, when a lunar eclipse appears to turn the lunar surface red.

The celestial event will be noticeable throughout North America. Learn more from space.com.
