Higgins tallies a game-high 23 points, all of them coming in the first half, as the winners lead by eight at the half. The advantage grows to 20 early in the fourth quarter as Coombe scores five of his 22 points during a quick run, but the Bruins mount a comeback and close within six. The Nesquers also receive nine points from Pete Morgans, while Mauch Chunk’s George Hewitt ends with a team-high 17.
