State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 70-year-old woman from Kunkletown was targeted in a theft by deception incident police reported at 6:30 p.m. March 9.
The incident occurred on Blue Mountain View, Lower Towamensing Township.
• A 53-year-old Weissport man is facing theft of services charges after police said they were called to Mario’s Pizza, White Street, Weissport, at 9:43 a.m. March 3.
Police said it was determined the man was plugging an extension cord into an outdoor outlet at the business.
• A 44-year-old Nescopeck man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 2:26 a.m. March 3.
He was stopped in a 2016 Nissan Rogue for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.
• A 51-year-old man from Saylorsburg was cited for public drunkenness after police responded to an incident at 7:30 p.m. March 2 on Route 115 in Ross Township.
Police said he was found lying in a parking lot in an intoxicated state and was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, Allentown.
• A 52-year-old Slatington man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 10:41 p.m. March 1 on White Street in Weissport.
Police said the victim is a 50-year-old woman from Weissport.
• A 44-year-old man from Ridgefield, New Jersey, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance.
He was stopped at 3:55 p.m. Feb. 28 on Polk Township Road, Polk Township, while driving a Lexus.
• Police cited a 55-year-old man from Lehighton and a 59-year-old woman from Palmerton after they were called to a domestic incident at 8:18 p.m. Feb. 26.
They are listed as both arrestees and victims of the incident that occurred on Strohl Road, Towamensing Township.
• Police said the operator of a vehicle they halted for a traffic stop at 11:41 a.m. Feb. 26 was discovered to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Neither the driver’s name nor residence was provided by police.
• A Saylorsburg resident called police to a theft at 12:01 p.m. Feb. 24.
It occurred at 115 Couch Circle, Ross Township, when a boat battery valued at $400 was stolen.
• A 48-year-old Allentown man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
He was driving a 2002 Honda Accord at 1:24 a.m. Feb. 24 on Bridge Street in Lehighton.
• A 52-year-old Palmerton man was targeted in a harassment by communications incident. Police said they were called to a property on La Montage Drive, Towamensing Township, at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 22.
The man reported he was in an argument via text with an unknown person.
• Shane Crowley, 30, of Brodheadsville, is facing drug possession charges after an incident at 1:24 p.m. Feb. 17 on Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said Crowley was driving a 2013 BMW they attempted to pull over for a traffic violation when he failed to yield, drove onto Pleasant Valley High School property and then ran. Police said he was apprehended and found to be in possession of illicit narcotics.
• Police were called at 9 a.m. Feb. 5 to Deer Lane, Towamensing Township, for a theft incident.
A 69-year-old Lehighton man told police a check was stolen and paid in the amount of $1,166.01 to Forest Hills.
• Police are investigating a theft by disposition of funds incident reported at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 4 on Getz Dawl Road, Polk Township.
They said a 66-year-old woman from Palmerton reported property valued at $850 was stolen.
• A 32-year-old woman was targeted in a theft by deception incident police reported at 2:37 a.m. Jan. 16.
It occurred at a property on Arnold Road, Polk Township.
