I was very happy to see the reopening of Glen Onoko in Gov. Shapiro’s proposed state budget.

He’d like to transfer ownership from State Gamelands to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and make it part of the State Park system.

Glen Onoko is a spectacular place that locals and visitors alike have enjoyed since the 1800s. When it becomes part of the state park system the trail will be upgraded for safety and accessibility, making it better for everyone.

The plan is a win win. We should all support it.
