The win allows the Blue Bombers to reach the state playoffs for the first time in 11 years. With Palmerton leading by seven points at the half, Smith opens the third quarter with eight unanswered points to more than double its advantage. Smith ends the frame with 15 points as the Bombers enjoy a 21-point margin. The winners, coached by Todd Gombos, also receive 10 points from Craig Steigerwalt and eight from Mark Amorim.
