Lineup varied for summer concerts in Tamaqua
The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce announced the lineup for the 2025 Chamber Concert Series, which will be held Thursdays beginning May 28 from the Tamaqua Train Station platform. Concerts are free and run from 6:30-8 p.m., weather permitting.
“With an incredible lineup of local artists, fantastic food trucks, and an unbeatable atmosphere, this summer is shaping up to be one for the books,” the Chamber noted.
Attendees are invited to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the following:
• May 28 — The Cressona Band, sponsored by Shafer’s Pharmacy. The band will kick off the series with a blend of classical music, overtures and contemporary band music.
• June 5 — Jason Kuhla, sponsored by LCCC Tamaqua. If you love acoustic classic rock, country, oldies, blues and more, you won’t want to miss Kuhla, who will cover a wide range of genres.
• June 12 — Free Range Folk, sponsored by Explore Schuylkill. For fans of world-class folk music, Free Range Folk brings together virtuoso musicians who will mesmerize you with their harmonious sounds.
• June 19 — Another Side, sponsored by Tamaqua Station Restaurant and Bowe & Odorizzi Law Offices. Get ready for a night of classic rock. Another Side, a five-piece band, will take you on a musical journey through the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s with vocal-oriented rock hits.
• June 26 — Tom Storm, sponsored by Northeast PA Settlement and Holman & Pitts Law. With unique, folk-influenced singer-songwriter music, Storm brings a refreshing and engaging performance with heartfelt lyrics and powerful melodies.
• July 3 — Island Time & Waiting for Eyes, sponsored by Victory Fuel Company. Celebrate the 4th of July weekend in style with Island Time and Waiting for Eyes. The duo promises a fun-filled evening of tropical vibes and rock music to get everyone in the party spirit.
• July 17 — Tom Acker, sponsored by Vince Boyle Team, Re/Max Real Estate. Acker will deliver an acoustic collection of favorite tunes, creating a lively, upbeat atmosphere for all ages.
• July 24 — Catch 23, sponsored by Explore Schuylkill. With their signature sound, Catch 23 will have the audience rocking out to popular rock anthems.
• July 31 — Hatter, sponsored by Professional School Photography. Known for their energetic performances of pop, rock, dance hits and original songs, Hatter is sure to get the crowd moving and grooving.
• Aug. 7 — M&J Big Band, sponsored by Tammy Sword Realty. The 18-piece ensemble will fill the air with the sounds of classic jazz and big band hits that will transport you back to the golden age of swing.
• Aug. 14 — Supersonic Godfathers, sponsored by St. Luke’s Miners Campus. The group will cover favorite rock hits, guaranteed to get you on your feet and singing along.
• Aug. 21 — Jay Smar, sponsored by Mauch Chunk Trust Company. Smar brings his traditional American folk music, deeply rooted in the coal mining history of Northeast Pennsylvania. His performance will tell the story of the region through song and rich storytelling.
• Aug. 28 — Ricky and the Ricardos, sponsored by Hollenbach Home Comfort Services. The band will be playing songs you didn’t even know you wanted to hear. With a wide range of hits, expect the unexpected, and be ready to dance.
