AOK puts emphasis on affordable
They’ve been providing residential and commercial heating, air conditioning and electrical services in the region since 2015.
Throughout that time, their mantra has been to provide the best possible service to the local community at an affordable price.
It’s that type of philosophy that has enabled AOK Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical in Lehighton to grow and expand.
Recently, the business relocated to its current site at 1476 Blakeslee Blvd Dr. W, the former Fastenal building on Route 443.
Shane Ketchledge, owner, said the opportunity to broaden his business appealed to him.
“My company is based around taking care of my customers,” Ketchledge said. “I’m not in business to rip people off, I’m in the business to do quality work at affordable costs.”
Ketchledge said the business has grown to the point where it’s really taken off in the past several years.
He said that’s due in large part to providing exceptional service, quality products and competitive pricing.
“I try to keep our costs down as much as possible,” Ketchledge said. “I call customers back to see how their (systems) are working.”
Ketchledge said the goal is to earn their business and retain them as a valued, long-term customer.
The business specializes in heating, furnace repairs and installation, heat pump installation and repair, boiler installation and repair, heating installations, heating tuneups, water heater repair and replacement.
Cooling services include air conditioning, ductless mini splits, central air installation, air conditioning installation, air conditioning tuneups and air quality.
Electrical services consist of electrical and electrical repairs.
Ketchledge said the business services about a 50-mile radius that spans Carbon, Monroe, Schuylkill, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
For his business to have experienced such humble beginnings to be at the point it is now has been especially gratifying, he said.
Ketchledge signaled out his wife, Jennifer, with whom he resides in Jim Thorpe, for being his biggest support system and said that he wouldn’t be where he was without her.
