Valentine campaign distributes 10,000 cards

The 12th annual Blue Ridge “Touch A Heart” initiative collected 10,000 handmade Valentines from members of the community and delivered them to 105 local organizations. The cards were then distributed to nursing home residents, veterans, soldiers, caregivers, hospital patients, and others who many not have otherwise received a personalized Valentine message this year.

“We are truly thankful for the outpouring of community support,” said Lori Noonan, Blue Ridge Government and Public Affairs Coordinator.

“The handmade Valentines are a beautiful testament to how many caring people are out there in our communities. And thank you to the local organizations who helped get these personalized cards into the hands of people who truly needed to receive them.”
