The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Major Case Team is currently on scene in Washington Township, Lehigh County for a shooting that occurred on Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday at 12:25 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Welshtown Road, Washington Township, for the report of a man who had been shot.

Upon arrival, Troopers observed a 29-year-old man who had been shot and immediately began providing care to the gun shot wound. Northern Valley EMS arrived on scene and took the man to the hospital.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation and further details will be released at a later time.
