State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Jason G. Burke, 53, of Palmerton, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:16 a.m. Feb. 18 on Interchange Road in Franklin Township.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer southwest when a deer entered the road and was struck by the vehicle.

The Explorer had to be towed from the scene.

• Shakara T. Ash, 46, of Kunkletown, was uninjured in a crash at 10:13 a.m. Feb. 16 on Burger Hollow Road, Polk Township.

Police said she was driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty northbound and was traveling too fast for conditions when the Jeep slid off the road and hit a tree.

It had to be towed from the scene.

Ash was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Alyssa A. Greenfield, 27, of Albrightsville, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:26 a.m. Feb. 12 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. They said the severity of her injuries in unknown.

Police said she was driving a 2015 Toyota Camry southbound and was traveling too fast for conditions when the car crossed lanes, left the road and traveled through a wooded area for about 600 feet, striking brushes and two trees before coming to a halt.

Police said Greenfield was extricated from the vehicle, which had to be towed from the scene.

Greenfield was cited after the crash, according to police.
