Two area football players and an area coach have been chosen to participate in the annual Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaces Association Small School East-West All-Star game.
Marian’s Aidan Milkovits and Northern Lehigh’s Cyrus Kinchen were both honored by being named to the roster.
The two Times News athletes play on the offensive line.
Also, Panther Valley head football coach Mark Lavine was selected as one of the coaches for the East squad.
The annual contest, which pits players in Classes 1A-3A in the East versus their counterparts from the West, will be played Sunday, May 18 at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field.
The Small School game is scheduled to start at noon, while the Big School (4A-6A) contest begins at 5 p.m.
The PSFCA East-West All-Star Game was created in 2001 to provide more athletes the chance to showcase their talents at a high level. Originally inspired by the Big 33 Game, which pits Pennsylvania’s top players against Maryland’s, the PSFCA Titan Threadz East-West game offers a prestigious platform for athletes who might otherwise be overlooked due to the limited roster size of the Big 33 Game.
