NW’s Zimmerman finalist for Mr. PA Football Award

Northwestern senior standout football player Eli Zimmerman is a finalist for the Mr. PA Football Award for classes 1A-3A.

Zimmerman is one of six finalists, with a winner to be decided by voting. One-third comes from coaches, another third from the media, and the final third from fan voting.

The Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Football Player of the Year turned in a record-breaking season and helped the Tigers to the 3A team championship. Zimmerman set numerous school records, including single-season marks of yards rushing (2,665), touchdowns (38), all-purpose yards (3,855), points (232), punt return yards (620) and punt return touchdowns (6). He averaged 10.7 yards per carry and set single-game school records of yards rushing (337) and all-purpose yards (472).
