State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 45-year-old man from Cumbola was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident at 12:55 a.m. Feb. 12 on Bobb Alley in Blythe Township.
Police said the victim is a 25-year-old woman from Cumbola.
• A 52-year-old Barnesville man was targeted in a theft by deception/identity theft incident police responded to at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 22 on Eleanor Avenue in West Mahanoy Township.
Police said he told them his personal demographic information was used to compromise 253 transactions through CashApp in October 2024, totaling $5,597.95.
• Thomas Dower, 51, of Mahanoy City, was arrested for violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police were called to a property on Park Place Road, Mahanoy Township, at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 9.
Police said his wife, a 42-year-old Mahanoy City woman, told them he violated the order within 24 hours of it being granted by sending her numerous text messages.
• John Treskolasky Jr., 46, of Weatherly, was cited for trespassing after police were called to a property on South Sheridan Street in McAdoo at 5:14 p.m. Feb. 18.
The victim is Pagnotti Enterprise Inc., McAdoo.
Police said it was determined Treskolasky was driving around the property in a 2012 Toyota after an employee of Pagnotti instructed him to leave the premises.
• Police were called to a firearms investigation at 3:53 p.m. Feb. 9 on West Phillips Street in Coaldale.
They said the investigation determined the complainant had several firearms stolen in April 2024 and the matter was reported to the Coaldale Police Department.
Police said several of the firearms were located hidden under a vehicle near the complainant’s apartment building in September 2024 by the complainant’s landlord. The firearms were returned to the complainant by the landlord, police said.
Police said that on Feb. 9 a friend of the complainant arrived at the residence to look at several of the firearms to purchase. While inspecting the firearms, two handguns were observed to have obliterated serial numbers, police said.
