While the ninth-seeded Miners manage to keep the score down, and thus stay competitive, the Bulldogs still manage to post a 24-17 victory. Nolehi, coached by Rich Oertner, lead by just two points heading into the fourth quarter but Patrick Wanamaker converts a three-point play in the first 30 seconds to extend the margin. The winners hit 6-of-10 free throws down the stretch to secure the decision. Wanamaker ends with a game-high 11 points, while Phil McEachron adds 10.
