School bus driver injured in Schuylkill crash

The driver of a school bus was taken to a hospital after a crash in Union Township involving the bus and another vehicle, state police at the Frackville barracks said.

No passengers in the bus were injured, said police, who reported that the bus was driven from the scene by a North Schuylkill School District bus supervisor.

Police said that the bus driver, Marie Y. Marsan, 57, of Mahanoy City, had minor injuries after the crash, which occurred at 4:23 p.m. Feb. 19 on Farmers Road.

Marsan was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville.

Police said the crash occurred when Brandy D. Daniels, 46, of Ringtown, driving a 2001 Jeep southbound, struck the 2017 Thomas school bus.

Both vehicles had minor damage after the crash, police said.
