A fast moving fire Friday night destroyed a home in Jim Thorpe. The fire was reported around 9 p.m. by a passing motorist of flames showing from the rear of a home at 1520 Reservoir Road. When firefighters from nearly ten communities arrived on scene they found the two story wood frame single family dwelling fully involved in flames. Due to the remote location of the fire water had to be tanked into the site.
